Apu Ausangate, the highest mountain in the Cusco region of Peru, stands at 6,384 Meters (20,939 Feet) and has been revered as a sacred mountain since before the time of the Inca. The landscape surrounding its glaciated peak is simply otherworldly – boasting numerous glacier lakes and lagoons, emerald green vegetation, crimson red mountains and of course, the deep blue Andean skies.
